Our Story
Inspiring Future Scientists and Engineers
Indiana Science Olympiad is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing STEM education through exciting academic competitions for middle and high school students. By combining science, engineering, technology, and teamwork, Science Olympiad provides students with opportunities to apply classroom learning to real-world challenges while building confidence, leadership, and lifelong curiosity.
30+ Years of Advancing STEM Education
For more than 30 years, Science Olympiad has inspired students through team-based STEM competitions that promote curiosity, innovation, and academic excellence. As a nonprofit organization, Science Olympiad strengthens K–12 science education, expands access to STEM opportunities, and recognizes outstanding achievement by students and educators. These goals are achieved through tournaments, classroom integration, and professional development for teachers.
Indiana Science Olympiad is the official state organization, working in partnership with the national Science Olympiad program to provide high-quality STEM competitions and educational opportunities for schools across Indiana.

Indiana Science Olympiad proudly serves schools across the state, connecting thousands of students with opportunities to explore STEM through teamwork and competition. From urban to rural communities, schools from every corner of Indiana participate in invitationals, Regional Tournaments, and the State Tournament each year.
